Head Pastor
Northland International University graduate and Calvary Baptist Seminary alumnus, Pastor Lucas C. Rex has faithfully served in ministry with a heart for preaching God’s Word, shepherding families, and equipping believers to grow in Christ. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he serves as a Reserve Chaplain in the United States Navy, ministering to service members and their families. He and his wife have been joyfully married for 23 years and are blessed with five beautiful children. Together, they are committed to serving the Lord and building a Christ-centered home and church family.

James E. Barr
Founding/Assistant Pastor
Pastor James E. Barr faithfully served as Senior Pastor for 30 years, leading with a deep love for God, a commitment to biblical preaching, and a passion for shepherding people. Alongside his wife of more than 50 years, he has built a legacy of faith and family, raising four children while dedicating his life to ministry. Today, he continues to faithfully serve as Assistant Pastor at the church he founded, offering wisdom, encouragement, and steadfast leadership to the church family he helped establish.

Tawni Thomas
Church secretary
Tawni Thomas has faithfully served as church secretary for over 10 years, demonstrating dedication, organization, and a heart for ministry in every aspect of her work. Through her faithful service behind the scenes, she has been a consistent source of support and encouragement to the church staff and congregation alike. Her commitment, servant’s spirit, and love for the church have made a lasting impact on the ministry and the church family.

Karen Acker
Children's Director
Karen Acker faithfully serves as the Children’s Ministry Director with a passion for helping children and families grow in their relationship with Christ. Through her leadership, creativity, and servant’s heart, she has revitalized the children’s ministry in an amazing way, creating an engaging, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment for young families. Her dedication and vision have had a tremendous impact on the church and the next generation.
